Mission Statement

To provide quality school age child care in a healthy, fun, caring environment.

About Club House

The Club House offers children a safe environment in which to explore, create, and play with new friends.

The program was formed in 1988 by a group of concerned citizens who wanted to create a learning environment for healthy child development.

Over the years, the program has seen tremendous growth from 6 to 50 students on average. We have also added a morning and full day summer school program.
Note: Enrollment is limited to children in 5K through 6th grade in the Columbus school district.

The Club House staff is required to meet current state requirements for continuing education. They meet program training requirements designed to provide excellence in program content and implementation.

Our Program

The four agreements for Club House students and adults are:
  1. Attentive Listening
  2. Appreciations / No Put Downs
  3. The Right to Pass
  4. Mutual Respect

Daily lesson plans meet both social, emotional, and developmental needs of the children. The plans are theme bases with experiences related to Cultural, Discovery, Art, Music, and Physical Education components.

The program works with the TRIBES program used in the Columbus School District. All staff, students, and families work together as a supportive community that is dedicated to caring, active participation, and positive expectations.

Parent and Community Involvement

Parents play a key role in the success of the Club House. They become involved with the Board of Directors by serving on committees, chairing committees, or serving on the executive board.

Parents volunteer for activities, donating snacks and/or working on fundraisers to help the program continue the quality service currently provided. This is essential for program growth and development.
